The Bowman Harvest Festival hosted it 17th Annual Harvest Festival on September 13-15, 2019.
The three-day event kicked off Friday with an opening ceremony that introduced the committee and the Town Council. With a bit of rain that passed through, Vendors prepped for festival-goers and DJ Rodney Byrd provided the music.
The next day's event began with a festive parade down Charleston Hwy. The parade featured Miss Harvest Festival, Bowman Town Council, Kings and Queens of Precious Moments Daycare Center, our local school band and various others.
Saturday's event continued with the Annual Barbeque Cook-off with winners as followed:

The event also featured a basketball tournament in the inner city park.
The crowd of more than 1,000 enjoyed various activities and amusement rides throughout the day.
Sunday's activities opened with the annual Gospel Extravaganza featured choirs from the community. The event also featured a tribute to the late Mayor Marion Glenn, Jr., followed by a performance from the Gospel Rapper David 'Davyne" Dantzler.
