On behalf of the men of the Bowman Police Department, welcome to our website. I’m honored to have the privilege of serving the community and as the police chief.
The dedicated professionals of Bowman PD serve a population of nearly 1,000 citizens. The members of the Bowman Police Department truly care about the safety of our community and providing excellent customer service. Our staff responds to the public safety needs of the community with the most effective measures available within our existing resources with the primary focus of ensuring the safety and well-being of our citizens and visitors.
As your chief of police, I will always listen to your needs and strive to be open and honest with community members as well as the men and women with whom I serve. I believe maintaining a high level of professionalism within the police department serves to maintain the quality of public safety citizens deserve and fosters collaborative efforts which result in constantly improving community relations.

The mission of the Bowman Police Department is to enhance the quality of life in the Town of Bowman by working cooperatively with the public to prevent crime, enforce the law, preserve the peace, and provide a safe environment.

Court is held at 9 a.m. on the second Monday of each month at the Bowman Municipal Complex located at 131 Poplar Street Bowman, SC 29018.
Clerk of Court Office Hours:
Monday through Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Friday 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Closed Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays
*Please note the Clerk of Court Office is located directly across the street from the Bowman Police Department at 131 Poplar Street Bowman, SC 29018.
If you have been issued a citation by a Bowman Police officer, please review the ticket for information about your court date, time, and fine amount.
Payments in person are made at the Bowman Town Hall located at 131 Poplar Street Bowman, SC 29018. Cash, credit/debit card, money order or cashier's check are accepted; no personal checks.
Payments can be made via phone by contacting the Bowman Municipal Court at 803.829.2666.
Mailed payments must be made by Money Order, Certified Check, or Cashier’s Check. Please include the ticket number, found at the bottom right hand corner of the ticket, on the form of payment.
Mail your payment to Bowman Municipal Court, P.O. Box 37, Bowman, SC 29018.
Online payments are currently not accepted.
Receipts are provided in person, by mail, email or fax. You may call (803) 829-2666 during regular business hours to verify that your payment has been received.
If you did not pay in a timely manner and the paperwork was mailed to the Department of Motor Vehicles before your payment was received, the clerk will print a special receipt form and hand it to you (if you pay in person) or mail it to the address we have on file for you. It is your responsibility to make sure the clerk has your current address, watch your mail for the special receipt, and take or mail the receipt to a highway department office promptly to avoid or clear a suspension of your driver's license. This is true for South Carolina and out-of-state motorists alike.
